Ok here we go. I have been meaning to start this blog for a while now, and with less than 2 weeks until I go back to work, I am trying to do the final things on my to-do list.
In this blog I would like to discuss some of my personal experiences with marriage/pregnancy/parenting/juggling it all. It is frightening to open yourself up and let people know intimate details of your life, especially given that I am quite shy, but I will give it a shot.
I am writing this currently with my wiggly 24-week old on my lap (note to self: do 24-week photoshoot today), I literally just got interrupted because my dog was barking like mad indicating my Amazon delivery must have just been dropped off.
Yesterday was my husband and I’s 2nd anniversary. We didn’t celebrate last year because I was too busy throwing up (more on that later) so we definitely wanted to celebrate this year. Last month, when my brother was dropping off his 1.5 year old to stay with me for a week, he said he owed us, to which I secured him for babysitting so we could celebrate. Of course hours before date time I find out his oldest has strep throat and I don’t particularly want my daughter catching that, so a desperate call to Grandma is made. Date night gets changed from “Dinner and a Movie” to just “Dinner”. At least we will finally use that gift certificate we got as a wedding gift 2 years ago!
That was the first time my husband and I were able to get out just the two of us since Jillian was born. We definitely have to work on that! I quite enjoyed being able to have quiet time together, and we had fun chatting about everything in our life we had accomplished so far, and future goals. Overall I am very pleased with how life is going 🙂
